Antipolo, Rizal – Tanggol Kalikasan (TK) actively participated in a four-day EU-GOJUST Story Production Workshop held from January 21-24, 2025, at the First Pacific Leadership Academy in Antipolo, Rizal. The workshop provided participants with in-depth training on effective storytelling techniques, equipping them with the skills to craft compelling narratives that effectively communicate environmental advocacy messages. Participants significantly improved their confidence in public speaking, interviewing, and media production.

The training emphasized the importance of gender equality and social inclusion in storytelling, encouraging participants to consider diverse perspectives in their narratives. The workshop curriculum covered a wide range of topics, including scriptwriting, storyboarding, filming, editing, and effective social media utilization. Participants engaged in interactive exercises, group discussions, and hands-on activities, fostering collaboration and creativity throughout the program. Participants highly appreciated the hands-on approach, particularly during the story pitching and media production activities.

Guest speakers, including Ms. Chiara and Jacque, provided valuable insights and constructive feedback. The use of real-world examples and case studies helped participants better grasp the concepts discussed. Participants expressed interest in more advanced sessions or follow-up workshops to further enhance their skills.

Additional training on technical aspects of media production, such as equipment handling and software tutorials, would be beneficial. Conducting preparatory workshops to build participants' confidence in public speaking and storytelling could further enhance their skills. Improving logistical planning to ensure the availability and proper functioning of equipment is also necessary. Lastly, organizing follow-up mentorship programs would support participants in applying their newly acquired skills.

Overall, the workshop was a significant step in empowering participants with essential storytelling skills while addressing social issues through creative media. Future sessions should focus on refining technical aspects and providing more time for practical application.
