Paracale - A three-day fishery law enforcement training from July 29 to 31, 2025, was held attended by over 20 dedicated Bantay Dagat from the municipalities of Daet and Paracale, Camarines Norte aimed to strengthen their capacity to protect our marine resources.

Mayor Romeo Y. Moreno of Paracale and Dr. Rosalie A. Almadrones of CNSC delivered an inspiring message, thanking the organizers and reiterating the LGU's full commitment to supporting their Bantay Dagat volunteers.


Legal experts Atty. Fritzielyn Palmiery and Atty. Mark Martinez led sessions on important topics like the Amended Fisheries Code, environmental laws, arrest and detention procedures, affidavit writing, and more. The training also included practical simulation exercises to prepare volunteers for real-world challenges. The objective of the training is for the participants to gain deeper knowledge on fishery and environmental laws and improve thieir skills in law enforcement, legal processes, and investigation

This training is part of the Environmental Justice Sector Reform Project Phase 3 (EJSRP3), implemented by Tanggol Kalikasan, with support from the U.S. Department of State – INL and the U.S. Department of the Interior – ITAP.
