One of the endangered species, Philippine long-tailed macaques are one of the species you can chance upon visiting Palawan. This species was listed as “Near Threatened” by the International Union for Conservation of Nature in 2008 due to their continuous loss of habitat and hunting as a result of human encroachment. For this episode, Visayas State University (VSU) and Holy Name University (HNU) discuss the threats to Philippine long-tailed macaques and how ordinary citizens can help in conserving them.

This episode is produced by the Institutes of Environmental Governance in VSU and HNU; Written and directed by: Mae Claudine Gica and Flora Mae Gudez.

Wildlife Philippines is an initiative under the Partnership for Biodiversity Conservation 3 of Tanggol Kalikasan and is being supported by the USAID and the US DOI-ITAP.
